Project: Collection of " The Fairy Tale World In My Eyes "
Introduction of my project :
I always wonder to draw a world, which I imagine perfectly and impossible to be real. Therefore, it inspired me to draw a collection of utopia style of the fairy-tale world in my eyes of this project. My project includes digital wallpaper, the 3D digital wallpaper (, which will be posted at the end of this blog post ) and 3 watercolours drawings which are for postcard use.
In this project, I tried using my own style & the abstract utopia style to draw out the fairytale world that I imagine. I hope to draw a different personality and the beautiful world of humans living with marine organisms to express the fairy tale world in my eyes. I would like to try using digital watercolours or oil painting to draw the painting using thick coating techniques. The elements that I would like to add to the artwork, like moonlight, marine organisms, bubbles, and the universe. It appears a little utopian world, which I imagined.
However, the deep meaning of the artworks that I would like to express is "Animals and human beings can coexist and tolerate each other in harmony and peace, unlike in real life, human beings only care about their own lives and ignore the habitat of animals, thus strangling their living space."

These are the first concept ideas of the planets' sketches in the drawing. Therefore, it may look different with digital drawing.

This is the whole draft of the digital drawing. I used black, white, blue, and pink colours to draw the things in the painting. It is very helpful for me to understand it clearly about the order of the layers.

Using Digital Drawing Broad (Photoshop )
During week 11, I have tried to use photoshop drawing, but I am still a beginner at it. When I am drawing, I'm still learning how to use the functions of PS. It is hard for me to know how to use it immediately. Therefore, I decided to try using Procreates drawing.
Compare using iPad ( Procreates)
The Flowers Planet
The result of using Procreates drawing is better than what I expected. I think that expresses quite well. Therefore, I decided to use Procreates to draw the digital wallpaper and use Photoshop in future other projects. I have used light colours to paint this flower planet, which represents dreams and nature.

Week 12 : Keep drawing other planets
The Butterflies Planet
During week 14, I created a utopia-style planet of butterflies. There are some small planets under the butterflies planet, which I imagine are its wheels of it. It helps the planet to move around. I have used thick coating techniques in this artwork, like how to draw the planet
, roses, etc. I have also added some lights or stars, pearls, etc. It lets the whole planet appear a vibe of elegance and luxury.

The Heart Planet
This planet idea comes from the balloon and rainbow. Therefore, I create this planet, which I imagine for people living and observing the view of the universe. The idea of it is like an exhibition or museum, and this planet shows a feeling of mysterious.

The Winter Planet
I have also created this planet. The idea comes from the winter wonderland. I added a piece of melting ice behind the planet. The whole element idea of this planet comes from water, shape of water are infinite possibilities. It could change to ice, snow,etc. Therefore, I decided to create a planet about winter, snow and ice.

Week 13 : The Digital Wallpaper
During week 13, I draw the whole image of the world as people living in the universe, as their home and country. People usually take different marine organisms as transportation everywhere, but the deepest meaning behind it that I would like to express is "Animals and human beings can coexist and tolerate each other in harmony and peace."

Week 14 : The First Watercolour Drawing
During week 14, I picked one part of the digital image and use watercolour to draw it out. Compare with the digital one, using watercolour makes the drawing more clear and more creative. Using watercolour to draw two people who sit on whale,and it lets the whole image more vivid and interesting. However, the reason why I would like to pick some parts of the digital wallpaper that is because if I picked some parts of it and zoom it in more bigger and closer to draw it , it would show the details of it more better.

Week 15 : The Second Watercolour Drawing
During week 15, I picked one part of the digital drawing and changed it to another vision. For example, I changed the jellyfish's colour, which looks more outstanding and plentiful. In order to highlight marine organisms in the picture, l picked the light blue colour as the background colour, which makes the whole painting more brightly.

Week 16 : Finishing the Final Piece Of Watercolour Drawing
During week 16, I still choose a part of the digital drawing and used watercolour to draw it out. The part I picked is a little family, which are parents with the child. Also, the bubbles make the drawing more unique and outstanding.

Week 17 : The 3D effect of the Digital Wallpaper
Using the Mental Canvas App to create :
During week 17, I also made a digital 3D effect of the " Fairy-tale World In My Eyes' wallpaper ". I need to put different layers separately and set different angles for them. Therefore, it will appear as a 3D effect wallpaper at the end.
