I used watercolour to paint the background of the portrait, and draw elements which are ( my cousin )Katie's favourites, like using purple, blue, and green to draw the universe, creating some mini planets, moon, etc.

Also, if you look at more details, you will discover that I designed a special frame, in which I have combined the ocean & water elements inside, like the shape and line of the water droplets and waves.

Step 3 :

I started to use black & dark brown watercolours to draw the hair, and paint the light orange colour of the face. Also, I used some colourful markers to draw the patterns, and lines of the planets & galaxies.

Step 4 :

Using the marker scratched out the outline, like the features of the face, hair, etc. Also, I used the same hair colour to draw the eyes-browns, light brown colour to draw the shadows of the neck & nose and the same face colour to paint the neck

Step 5 :

I used black and dark brown watercolours to draw the eyes and used red watercolours to paint the mouth. Also, I used the White-out to draw the reflective light of the eyes. Also, use green and grey-green colours to paint the cloth.

Step 6 :

Short Refection :

During the drawing process, I have met some obstacle of drawing the face by watercolor. Fortunately, I have fixed problem at the end. After this experience, I learned that drawing watercolour, which needs to be very careful and couldn't use too much water to blend it out.
