Exercise 3 : Make Four Compositions With Four Colors

  1. My partner helped me to choose four different colours papers, then exchanged.

  2. I cut these colours papers to different shapes.

  3. I put four different colours papers together to match four different combinations.

Lesson 2 : Painting Workshop

During the lesson, I tried to draw different primary colours, secondary colours, tertiary colours and gradation colours.

I used watercolours to draw the apple image.

The Process :

Step 1 : Draw the draft of the apple's structure

Step 2 : Use main colours, like red, yellow, purple, and so on, to paint the apple

Step 3 : Start to paint the background blue colour

Step 4 : Draw the shadows of the apple

The Tools ( Brushes ) & Colours :

The Brushes :

These two brushes are used mainly to paint works.

I used the biggest one to draw the background colour of this painting.

And I used the small one to colour the apple.

The watercolours :

I used these colours to paint this image.

- Yellow : Draw pulp of the apple

- Purple : Draw the shades of the apple

- Orange & Red : Draw the pericarp

- Blue : Draw the Background and the shadows of the apple

- Brown : Draw the top of the apple

My Reflection :

This week, I have learned how to use watercolour to draw the apple practice painting.

It was a nice experience for me to learn the relationship between different colours.
