This artwork showcases the views of Hong Kong and was created by Lizzie David. In order to let more people know about Hong Kong's appearance, she decided to sketch out this landscape to show the characteristics of Hong Kong.
I really appreciate her using simple watercolours to show the whole view of Hong Kong, which let me feel like I am still in Hong Kong. I was very impressed with this painting because it reminded me of the scenery that I used to see in Hong Kong before. As you can see from the painting, there are various skyscrapers inside, which reflects one of the cultural characteristics of Hong Kong, because Hong Kong has a small land area, but a large population, so the building is often built very high to accommodate the huge crowd.
Also, this is the famous tourist attraction "Victoria Harbour". In the morning, there is just only a normal workplace, shopping centre, and sightseeing, but in the evening, there is a performance called "A Symphony of Lights". Different buildings cooperate with each other to light up Victoria Harbour with different spotlights, lasers, LED screens, and lights to reveal a new visual face. If during the New year or Christmas, different buildings will hang different colourful Christmas lights or New Year's greetings, even there will have a LED screen to show the countdown to the new year.
Therefore, if you want to have an experience of local people celebrating festivals or enjoying the night view of Hong Kong, then this is a must-go attraction for you.
